Yen is a Rizal-based artist born in Makati and raised across the vibrant regions of Davao and Cebu. A dedicated mother of three, an entrepreneur, a certified public accountant — and now, in her calling as a freelance artist. Her family roots run deep in architecture and fine arts.

Her artistic journey began in early childhood, honing her skills in local and international painting contests. Her talent quickly earned recognition, leading to awards from government and private sponsors — notably SM and Ayala — and a feature in SunStar Cebu. Art was not merely a hobby; it was a driving force, helping fund her education as an academic scholar who also worked part-time.

Yen began her abstract journey by accident during the pandemic, when a buyer chose to purchase a background painting from her online goods. That serendipitous start led to hundreds of textured abstract paintings sold locally and internationally between 2021 and 2025.

Her art is deeply rooted in her faith, drawing inspiration from God's creation: the raw, tactile elements of nature — soil, water, caves, clouds and wood. That spiritual connection translates into her signature textured abstract pieces, each one a rich, layered interpretation of the world around us.

Beyond the canvas, Yen is committed to using her art for good, donating proceeds from her sales to victims of calamities and children in need. Looking ahead, she is passionate about teaching art to children — believing the discipline, patience and creativity inherent in the process are skills they will carry throughout their lives.
